Because Christianity is bigger than Biblical manhood or Biblical womanhood (Blog of Retha Faurie)

Myth: “Everyone should live according to their gender role, and gender roles should find an echo in every human heart.”

If gender roles are for everyone, name:

a)     From the Bible, one thing all women, married and unmarried, should do, but no men. (A female gender role.)

b)    From the Bible, one thing all men, married and unmarried, should do, but no women. (A male gender role. Remember that leading the church, even if you believe only men should do it, is not the task or gift of all males.)

If there is no good answer to the above questions, then gender roles are not for everyone, and not nearly as important as the Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood claims it is.

You’d be surprised how hard it is for gender role proponents to answer that simple question.
