Marriage and game: Why …

Here is a random thought on the topic of my previous two posts:

If you take your marriage seriously, why would you take relationship advice from anyone who calls relationships (a) game?

I am all for having fun with your loved one, but “game” is a word associated with children and gamblers. Marriage is for responsible adults.

Game” is also “a physical or mental competition conducted according to rules with the participants in direct opposition to each other.” Do you want your marriage to be a competition with husband and wife in direct opposition, or would you prefer to have your spouse on your team?

And “Game” is what you call the animal that is shot on a hunting trip. The goal of marriage is not to kill and slaughter, but to love!
