Women, not in God’s image?!!!

I don’t even want to quote them. They are so wrong that it will take a supercomputer to calculate their wrongness.

Some people say – it’s none too hard too find them on the Internet if you use a search engine – women are not made in the image of God, only men are. I wonder what God think if we deny his image like that?

To counter their claim, we can use the very first mention of gender in the Bible:

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God made “man” in God’s image. Man is H120, ‘âdâm

The definition in BDB

The definition in Strongs:
aw-dawm’
From H119; ruddy, that is, a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.): – X another, + hypocrite, + common sort, X low, man (mean, of low degree), person.

Man is not just a male word. Adam is not just the name of the male, but the name God gave to both male and female, see Gen 5:2:

Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

And the word “him” in :27? That word was inserted because English don’t work like Hebrew. It is not something that is part of the real Hebrew text. The original does not say “in the image of God created he [the male].”

This picture shows that “God” in this text was translated from word H430 in the Hebrew dictionary; that the entire concept “in his image” comes from one Hebrew word; and the words “him” and “them” were added by translators to make the sentence complete according to English grammar.

Mankind was created in God’s image. Mankind includes men and women. “Man” in Gen 1 include men and women. It should go without saying. But sadly, it does not.
